How goes it with your Vexercise 2s? Which version of the challenge have you decided to tackle? Any insights? Stumbling blocks? Questions come up? Looking forward to seeing these as they come in!
I wanted to make something to celebrate three years of being in Guardian fandom (WHAT IS TIME), and I was wanting to use that taxi scene - it's the first Guardian thing I can remember seeing gifs of on Tumblr, the first thing that made me go "Oh, I should check this out". One minute is the perfect length for "I'll just throw something together to see what it makes". Using the transition challenge was great fun - I did end up having to cheat, because after I'd put everything together (with transitions) I ended up having to cut one of my clips in two to get the flipping to work. But it wasn't really an edit, so...! (I am such a terrible rulebreaker, I know.)
All I will say is that one minute sounds really short until you decide to make a crackvid full of .5- and 1-second clips and need to think of transitions for all of them, lol.
That said, it is done! A humor vid was a good way to play around a bit with transitions, but I think on the whole I'm still pretty conservative about them.
