And we are in the the advanced round // genre mashing/AU vexercise!

Produce a 1 minute video edit that combines your selected source with another source from a different genre (i.e. fantasy, western, sitcom, film noir), and/or use editing to transform the genre of your source text. Audio can be of your choosing.

This vexercise is inspired by the many amazing genre shifting AU vids coming out of Chinese vidding these days, but there are many histories to these types of genre mash ups. Share your favorites in the comments!

This is so fun! Because I don't really know the source, I would've just really fully thought it was 100% caper from this! I loved the music choice, the driving rhythm of the song, and the correspondingly playful and upbeat editing.
