I played around with some vidding several years ago (I think I was using movavi, after switching from windows movie maker) after my sibling got into it. They were making a few fanvids for kpop/jrock songs that didn’t have mvs. (I think some are still up actually, YouTube says that was thirteen years ago, huh.) I did a few things when modding a fest and some other stuff (r.i.p. vine), but computer stuff happened and so I haven’t had any video editing software installed for years. I’ve been meaning to get back into it, and have a YouTube playlist of source stuff that I’ve been saving for over a year, but intertia is strong! Just yesterday though, I had to figure how to use shotcut for basic editing at work. That, in tandem with getting this post alert, and the fact that this round coincides with the end of [community profile] voiceteam (and the fun energy that comes out of that) will hopefully be the nudge I need to actually get back into it.

I’ve been wanting to use ENHYPEN mvs as a core for a vid ever since they debuted, but also recently got into the Thai drama Something in my Room and have all that source now, so I hope to work with those too.

I was thinking of using shotcut since it’s free and open source and seems like it’ll run okay on my pretty old laptop (Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, i7 2.0 GHz CPU, nvidia GeForce GTX 560M graphics chip), but if there is any other software someone would recommend I’m all ears! (The number of choices are a little overwhelming.)
