Vexercise 3 "Due"

Hi all! Happy fall! Can we still call these the summer school vexercises? Sorry to be less punctual than usual with this due dates and prompts... it's been a bit of a crazy time on my end. But vexercise 3 is "due", and I'll drop vexercise 4 in a soon-coming post.

I hope that you're enjoying your vexercise experimentations! How'd your vexercise 3 experience go?  Which version of the prompt did you decide to do and why? Advice for others doing a variation of vex 3?

Vexercise 4 Drops: Music Remix!

Aaaaand it's time for Vexercise 4

The new version of vexercise 4 is

Music Remix: (1 minute video) Try connecting two different songs in some way — a mashup, one leading into another, etc., and then vid rhythmically to the result.
People often have done this for their vexercises in the past, but it's never been an official vexercise. I'm excited to see what folks come up with!

You can do this within Premiere, or if you want to get fancier, with Audition, or with the free software Audacity, or a myriad other audio editing tools.

Here are a couple of recent resources for Premiere:
I was looking for some tutorials for Resolve but didn't find any that were specific to mixing music -- please share any good resources you find below for any software at all!

Of course you can also do the previous challenge for Vexercise 4 instead or as well (or at the same time!). And that is the tried and true Side Character Study!

Side character study Produce a 1 minute video edit from your selected source focusing on a side character, making them the central character of your vid. Audio can be of your choosing.

Whichever you choose, have fun! Share resources, inspiration, and ask questions in this post!
