Side Character Vid Check In

Hi all! How goes it with the side character vids? Have you chosen to put the spotlight on a more obscure character, or that secondary character who just doesn't quite get the love and attention they deserve? Have you discovered new things about them in the process?
Also, this vexercise doesn't have the same type of formal restrictions as the other vexercises we've had so far... is that freeing? challenging? both? 
I... haven't gotten started on this yet. Oops. I can't seem to decide on a side character, though I have several in the running. We'll see who wins out! I'm determined to have something by Sunday :D

I don't have anything...! Combination of not enough clips of side characters in my sources and not having a song for one of the side characters I might be interested in. Sometimes it just be like that.

oh god, i feel this. now I want to make, like, 3 Xie'er vids, but what about Gu Xiang?? and Xiao Lian? And we never even mentioned YBY!!! And tragicomic ghost. and beauty ghost. And why have you never seriously considered making a Shen Shen video :P

I am but I’ve been a bit over the place with my adhd meds adjustment so I have still yet to complete the vexercise which is very annoying! I don’t like not meeting deadlines ;____;

I'm going to be late on both watching and reply to this week's entries and submitting my own. I'm in a mad dash to finish a different project now, but my source is chock full of side characters and I am looking forward to getting back to them.

yeah, I feel this *often* and sometimes I think it's really important to listen and just, consume, knowing the vidding will come more naturally later... it's all part of the vidding process really! So you can watch and say you're doing pre-production *nods*

I've got my song and clips done! Now to lay them out and see if they come together as I see it in my mind's eye... more or less *crosses fingers*

I'm glad for a less restrictive vexercise—a welcome opportunity to catch my breath a bit 😊 As well as a refreshing change of focus as I re-watch the source eps.

Yes, i felt the same way about the loosening of restrictions! I'd been so focused on technicalities; this time I could just breathe and vid more intuitively, which I really needed.
