Ah yes yes, totally--any six second clip is going to have edits within it, unless you're like, using a movie that uses super long takes or is all in one take or something. The clip is just six seconds of your source footage; it's bound to have all sorts of internal cuts in it. And then the trick is, I've found, making those internal cuts work for you!
